Today we are learning about different career opportunities as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). You’ll learn what the top three things are to become an EMT, what other careers it can lead to, and how our special guest is using his knowledge in the Entertainment Industry as he gives us a Studio Tour. We’re doing all this and answering your question with Adam Iqueda, an expert in Public Safety.
About Adam iqueda
Today, on “Experts in the Industry,” we are interviewing a man who knows about public safety. Adam Iqueda consults on TV Shows such as the hit television show Grey’s Anatomy to train and make sure the cast is performing medical procedures correctly, his job is to make it look as real as possible. He is working at Warner Brothers Studios on the show all rise as their COVID Testing/Contact Tracing Coordinator to ensure that the cast and crew remain safe and healthy during the Pandemic. He is also a member of the screen actors guild. Adam has also served as a professor at El Camino and Solano College. While at El Camino, he spearheaded the development of the Public Safety Career Pathway. He is a graduate of our School District’s very own San Bernardino High School class of 2003. He has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Technology and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course from East Los Angeles College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Medical Care from Loma Linda University, and a Graduate degree from Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California. Fight on! Adam is also Crafton Hills College 62nd Fire Academy Graduate.
When it comes to disaster and emergency response, Adam has had extensive education and training. Although the list is long, it is important to talk about it today. He is a certified CPR Instructor, First Responder for Awareness /Operations Hazardous Materials, and First Responder Operations-Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). Understanding and Planning for School Bombing Incidents, Prevention and Response to Suicide Bombing Incidents, Incident Response to Terrorist Bombing from New Mexico Tech Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center, and WMD Radiological/Nuclear Awareness. Train-the-Trainer from Counter Terrorism Operations Support in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Finally, Adam is a member of Infragard Los Angeles and the National Association of Emergency Medical Services Educators
