Taste Test Kit

Use your senses to explore the different ways plants can look, taste, and feel. This kit has multi-colored carrots along with herbs that we’ve grown at San Andreas High School in our Hydroponic Systems.
Suggestion: Compare how different varieties or whether something is dried or fresh changes the look, taste, and texture of the herbs.

2 Different Herbs (Variety depends on availability)
Basil
Purple Basil
Parsley
Cilantro
Mint
1-2 Bag(s) of Multi-Colored Carrots
Optional Items you will need (not included)
Knife, to cut carrots to bite-sized pieces
Serving plates/napkins for your
Gloves to distribute
Dried Herbs of the same variety that’s provided in your taste test kit...or you can dry the herbs as an additional activity
We sometimes have an overage during our harvests. During the program if you would like to get additional taste test kits from us please email us to let us know, or keep a lookout for any communications sent to notify you.
