Exploring Where Our Food Comes From and Careers in our Food Ecosystem
Speaker Information
-
Background
Farm to School Fridays is a 6-week series beginning April 7th, where classrooms across the San Bernardino City Unified School District can meet together virtually and interact with speakers that are part of the Food Ecosystem. During the presentation, students can learn about where their food comes from, how agriculture touches many different industries and even different careers that can stem from agriculture.

About The Presentation
We are recording our presentations with a LIVE student audience at San Andreas High School and then streaming (“Airing”) the recorded session during one of the Fridays of our 6-week series.
Our series begins April 7th and ends May 12th.
-
Audience
The Primary Audience is Elementary students. We have a small percentage of kindergarten and Middle School Students that will be LIVE for your presentation with General Education & Special Education students from San Andreas High School.
-
Goal
To provide career and industry exposure for students who might not otherwise have access to individuals or companies such as yours. We also like covering Farm to Table Concepts or the Food Ecosystem to incorporate our applied learning in our AgTech Facility, Greenhouse, or student business enterprise.
It’s our hope that these sessions foster learning, career exploration, inspiration, and hope.

Time Commitment
This year we are inviting speakers to be part of a recorded LIVE student audience for about 1 hour and then be available for Q&A on the Air Date whichever is most convenient to you (via in-person, on the phone, or virtually).
The ideal length for the presentation is about 20-25 minutes.
Q&A Sessions are 10 Minutes
